Studio Policies

DANCE RULES:

* All dancers must have their hair pulled back.
* No baggy clothing (only hip hop class).
* No gum and candy in class.
* All dance bags, shoes, coats etc. belong in the waiting area.
* Must come to class prepared. 
(This means you must have proper dance attire, shoes and hair secured.)
* PUT DANCER’S NAME IN DANCE SHOES!
* Please pick your dancer up on time.

PARKING:
There is a public parking lot just north of the studio across the street from the Moose Lodge. You may also pull into the alley ways to drop your dancer off and have them walk to the door.
Please do not park at the sweeper store parking lot.

ATTENDANCE:
For proper dance training, regular attendance is very important. Regular attendance also encourages commitment and responsibility. Dancers are awarded with perfect attendance awards at the end of the dance year.

*New* WEATHER POLICY:
An e-mail will go out to everyone as well as being posted on our Facebook page if the studio is going to be closed due to weather. A decision to close due to weather will be made and posted by 2:00 pm. Please check your email and FB after 2:00. (Make sure to “like” our page on Facebook.) Facebook is the best way to get up to the date information.

If you miss classes due to weather you may make up your time. Check the information board for a class schedule.

MAKE UP POLICY:
If you miss a class throughout the dance year you may make the class time up. A class schedule will be posted on the information board. Missed classes need to be made up with in one month. The deadline to make up classes is April 30. 

NEWSLETTERS:
Additional information will be posted on the information board in the lobby and you will find notes and other info. in your dancer‘s file folder. All dancers are responsible for checking their folder or “mailbox” with their name on it in the lobby. All information will also be sent to you by e-mail.

COSTUMES:
Costumes MUST be paid in full by Christmas Break.  If we do not have costume money, a costume WILL NOT be ordered for your dancer.  This way there is not a balance at the beginning of the New Year.  The average amount for a recital costume is $70.00 including tights and accessories.  All payments must be paid in full in order to receive your costume before picture day.  If you account is not paid in full by the time we hand out costumes, then you will not receive one.

PICTURE DAY:
We will be having a mandatory recital picture day.  This will help with the length of dress rehearsal and each dance will have its own time slot.
